Weekly Trials and Tribulations of the Scenic City Chapter of the TTA

Weekly Trials. Tribulations and Photos experienced while hiking

Big Soddy Gulf

This hike was led by Gregg.  It was a beautiful day for a hike.  The sky's were clear and it wasn't too hot.  I would rate this hike as difficult and the distance was approximately seven miles.  If you would like to see some pictures, click here or on the Soddy Gulf tab above.

Greenway Farms 5.3.16

There were 15 hikers on this relatively short four mile hike.  It had rained the night before so there were a few patches of mud.  The weather was just about perfect for hiking.  Slightly overcast and cool.  A few of the hikers separated from the group and went down to the quarry.  If you would like to see a few pictures, click here or on the Greenway Farms tab above.
Beautiful day for a hike.  This was a relatively short like of about four miles so I will rate it as easy.  Everyone had a great time and the wildflowers were out in force.  If you would like to see pictures of the wildflowers and of the hike in general, click here or on the Rock Creek tab above.
On this hike there were only two hikers.  That's too bad because it was a beautiful day for a hike with a temperature of 74F and light breezes.  I would rate this hike as strenuous since it was 10 miles and they covered the distance relatively quickly.  When they returned to the parking lot there were at least 30 cars!  If you would like to see a few pictures, click here or on the Snow Falls tab above.

Laurel Falls

What a perfect day for a hike!  There were 14 hikers on this five mile hike.  Everyone was thrilled to see that the wildflowers were out in full bloom.  I would rate this hike as relatively easy.  If you would like to see a bunch of beautiful wildflowers, click here or on the Laurel Falls tab above.
