Weekly Trials and Tribulations of the Scenic City Chapter of the TTA
Weekly Trials. Tribulations and Photos experienced while hiking
Harrison Bay
4.17.12 Renee, Sarah, Nancy, Nance Jo, Sandra, Gail, George & Earl Even with a 70% chance of rain we started our hike. As luck would have it, not a drop of rain fell on us. The first rain occurred after I returned home. This was an exceptional hike as everyone seemed to enjoy the hike, weather and camaraderie. While we didn't see much wildlife, a couple of herons and a mallard duck, it was a beautiful hike. George and Gail led the hike. They moved ahead of us and would periodically stop and wait for the rest of us to catch up. This also allowed George's hiking sticks to cool down a little after the fast pace he was setting. The distance of the hike was 4.5 miles and I would rate it as easy. If you would like to see a few pictures, click here.
4.14.12 Sarah, Nance Jo, Nancy, Sandra, Bob, George. Many thanks to George and Sarah for the pictures. This hike was scheduled as a wild flower hike and it looks like they had a successful time. The weather cooperated and beautiful pictures taken. If you would like to see the pictures, click here or on the Fall Creek tab above.
