Weekly Trials. Tribulations and Photos experienced while hiking
Booker T. Washing SP
12.24.13 Just before Christmas, Ed, Donna, Bob, Nance Jo, Nancy, Renee & Kathy set out on a hike at Booker T. Washington State Park. I do not know what the final mileage was, but everyone made it OK. It was bitter cold to start with, but everyone warmed up once the hike was under way. I would rate the hike as easy. There is only one picture, to the right. Click on it for a larger version.
Rock Creek
12.22.13 There were 11 hikers on this hike. Seven from the Upper Cumberland Hiking Club and four from the Soddy Daisy Hiking Club. The hike was from the Retro Hughes trailhead to the Lower Leggitt trailhead. The distance was 7.5 miles. It was foggy and rainy but everyone seemed to enjoy the hike, the trail and the misty scenery. I would rate this hike as moderate. Pictures from the Upper Cumberland group and from the Soddy Daisy group can be viewed by clicking on the Rock Creek tab above.
