Weekly Trials and Tribulations of the Scenic City Chapter of the TTA
Weekly Trials. Tribulations and Photos experienced while hiking
Upper Leggett Road to Lower Leggett Road
5.15.13 We had 18 hikers on this hike. The weather was absolutely beautiful. The distance was only 2.7 mile. I would rate this short but beautiful hike as easy as long as you follow the correct trail signs. It is possible to go off on the wrong trail. If you would like to see some pictures of this hike click on the Leggett Road tab above.
Booker T. Washington
5.11.13 Only 4 hikers on this hike. The weather was beautiful. The hikers chose the Yellow loop. I would rate this hike as easy. For a couple of pictures, click on the Booker T. Washington tab above.
Prentice Cooper
Although there were only 4 hikers, it was a great hike. The weather held until right at the end of the hike when rain came. There were lots of birds but it was very difficult to identify time. They did see some deer and turkeys. A box turtle was found along the way and John found a well camouflaged lizard. It was a pretty wet hike, but the rain held off until right at the end. If you would like to see a few pictures including the camouflaged lizard, click on the Prentice Cooper tab above.
Sluder Lane
We still are having a large turn out. Today we had 14 hikers. The weather was great and all had a good time. For a few pictures, click on the Sluder Lane tab above.
