Camp Jordan 9.1013

Camp Jordan, 9.10.13  Beautiful day for a hike around Camp Jordan.  Today there were 10 people including one new couple.  The number of hikers is remaining steady at 8-14.  Everyone had a good time on the relatively short hike of 4.4 miles.  I would rate the hike as easy.  For a couple of pictures click on the Camp Jordan tab above.

Lula Lake

9.7.13  Lula Lake    We had several new faces on this hike.  The distance was about 5 miles.  I would rate this hike as moderate.  The weather was perfect and the hike turned out great.  Lula Lake is always popular.

Raccoon Mtn. 9.3.13

On this hot, humid but beautiful day, we had 12 hikers.  It was an enjoyable 3.9 mile hike except that I had a little trouble with my GPS.  We didn't see any wildlife, but the scenery along the trail was beautiful.  I would rate this hike as easy.  If you would like to see a few pictures, click on the Raccoon Mtn. tab above.  To read the poster pictures simply zoom in on them.  Select the picture, then click on the magnifying glass and then to make it even larger, click on the + - sign in the lower right corner.

Prentice Cooper 8.31.13

On this hike there were only three people.  George, John, and Larry.  The hike was about 10 miles and listed as difficult.  I think that this is why there were so few people.  For a few pictures click on the Prentice Cooper tab above.

Elsie Holmes Nature Center

8.27.13  Today we had 13 hikers on a very short hike.  I only went 1.9 miles but the rest of the group added another 1 mile.  The weather was perfect and South Chickamauga Creek was really full.  After the hike we had a little picnic at the parking lot for a really good time.  I would rate the hike as easy except for one short moderate section.  For a few pictures click on the Elsie Holmes tab above.
