North Chick Segment

7.20.11  Nancy Jo, Susan, McBob, John & Earl  It was a nice hot day, but all went well.  No wildlife to speak of, but a good hike nevertheless.  We started at the North Chick parking lot on Montlake Ave.  The climb is a little grueling, but since it is at the beginning of the hike, it was OK.  We followed the trail until we reached the new steps that had been built after fire damaged the original ones.  From here we turned around and returned.  The hike covered 5.2 miles and I would rate it as moderate.  Following the hike, we stopped at Kay's for ice cream.  Yummm!  For a few pictures click here or click on the North Chick tab above.
