Weekly Trials and Tribulations of the Scenic City Chapter of the TTA
Weekly Trials. Tribulations and Photos experienced while hiking
Greenway Farms 4.30.13
Greenway Farms What a turnout. This was the largest group we have had I think. There were 21 hikers all told. The weather was perfect and Boodie did a great job of leading this hike. He kept everyone together. Greenway Farms is always a great place to go and the back trails are relatively little used. There was one up hill climb on the first trail, but once that was completed the trails were all easy from there on. The Boy Scout Trail is really nice. Of course there were wildflowers along the trail with ample May Apples. And guess what, I didn't get a single tick. We saw a beautiful Gray Rat Snake on a tree branch (see pictures) that politely posed for pictures without getting upset. After the hike a group of us went to BiBa's Restaurant for lunch and good conversation. I would rate this hike as easy and and the distance was 4 miles.
