9.14.13 Joan, Gail, Gloria, Larry, Boodie, Gary and John. Perfect weather for a hike. There was a nice cool breeze blowing that kept the warm weather in check. I would rate this hike as moderate. The distance was 8.5 miles. Lunch was had on a beautiful bluff overlooking the Tennessee River Valley with both TVA nuclear plants in the background. The only difficulty was yellow-jackets. Seems the hikers disturbed a nest and several of the hikers received stings. This put a damper on an otherwise great hike.
