Today's hike was 7.5 miles on the Cumberland Trail starting at the Lower Leggitt Road trailhead and going to the Retro Hughes Road trail head (using the lower side of the loop). It started as a cool morning and ended up being a clear, warm afternoon. We had nine hikers(George, Rex, Boodie, Gary, Don, Larry, Carolyn, Gregg, and John), but some participated in portions of the hike.
We lunched at the Rock Creek bridge, and as can be seen in some of the photos the water was flowing well. I would rate the hike as strenuous. For a few pictures click here or on the Rock Creek tab above.
