Weekly Trials and Tribulations of the Scenic City Chapter of the TTA
Weekly Trials. Tribulations and Photos experienced while hiking
Roaring Creek
Boodie, Gary, Karen, Don, Kathy, Louis and John. Today's hike was 11 miles on the Cumberland Trail segment at Roaring Creek. The hike was 5.5 miles in to the trail's end and a return to the trailhead after lunch. The weather was perfect. The views from the overlooks were excellent as the day was bright and sunny. We lunched on the large rocks at Gilbreath Creek after crossing the creek and hiking to the end of the presently completed trail and returning. On our return trip to the trail head we met up with several members of the Plateau Chapter who were also doing the Roaring Creek hike. Today's hike was strenuous.
