Weekly Trials. Tribulations and Photos experienced while hiking
Long Branch Trail
3.30.2011 Nance Jo, Earl Rather cool, damp and misty. It did not really rain, so it was nice and quiet out in the forest. We ran into patches of fog which made it kid of eerie. While we ate lunch the only sound was a dog barking far away. There were numerous small creek crossings, but these were easily handled. The temperature was almost perfect, just cool enough to keep you from perspiring, but not so much as to make you cold. The distance was 7.6 miles and I would rate this trail as easy. To see a few pictures, click on the Long Branch tab above or click HERE. Notice the footprint to the right. The object in the picture is a quarter!
